Donation of school supplies for students of three elementary schools
Working staff of Association “Education Builds B&H”, led by director Jovan Divjak, today delivered 136 sets of school supplies to students of the central elementary school “Mehmedalija Mak Dizdar” Vitkovići and its three regional schools Sadba, Bogušići and Berič, Municipality of Goražde.
Thanks to the donation of the Mara Foundation, Amsterdam and KIWANIS – Club Ostholstein eV, and to our friends, photographers Amelie Fellgiebel and Bernd Ziemens, the Association made it easier for many children whose parents, unfortunately, are unable to provide their children with the school supplies needed for normal schooling. The set contains a backpack with basic teaching accessories: notebooks, pens, rubbers, pins, etc. The value of the donation delivered today to pupils is BAM 4,400 (≈ EUR 2,250 ).
“The Mara Foundation from Amsterdam was founded by a group of students in 1993 in Lyden, the Netherlands, and gathers students who consider education as best way to inspire young people to build a better future for themselves and their country,” the Mara Foundation said.
Dutch students have been cooperating with the Association “Education Builds B&H” for several years, suggesting that the donation be delivered to these schools.
